ALTOONA, BLAIR COUNTY - The Blair County Conservation District talked about the dangers of runoff water. They hosted a booth at Altoona Regional's Earth Day event.

They say whenever rain slides off roofs and roads it picks up toxins that end up in streams and rivers. They're educating people on how to use rain barrels to stop the runoff, and how to plant natural barriers to protect the actual streams.

Conservation district workers will help you with any of those projects.  Click here to contact the Conservation District.
