ALTOONA, BLAIR COUNTY - Penn State Altoona students are having fun going green.

Students living at Nittany Pointe are competing against each other to see who can bring in the most recycling.

Jackie Seith and her roommates Mandee and Marissa are going green. The girls live at Nittany Pointe above the Penn State Altoona campus. They're competing against their neighbors and the apartment that brings in the most recycling at the end of a ten week contest wins Sheetz gift cards.

The Students In Free Enterprise group came up with the contest. SIFE has collected about seven hundred pounds of recyclables so far and there are eight more weeks to go in the contest.

Jackie says she and her roommates were inspired by the President's visit to do more for the environment.
