This week, we are shining our spotlight on Fire and Rush from Nittany Greyhounds in Port Matilda.
Fire’s racing name was “Dakotas Firedoo”. He is four years and five months old, and weighs 70 pounds. Volunteers say he is a very mellow dog. Fire is also very friendly, and isn’t shy or timid at all. In fact, shelter workers say he gets along “famously with everyone”. This all-around great pup is relaxed in his crate, small animal safe and is very sweet. He also has a fabulously shiny coat!
If Rush’s face looks familiar, that’s because he’s been on Central PA Live before. He’s still waiting for the perfect forever home, and he’s hoping it’s yours! His racing name was WW’s Rush. He is 4 years and 7 months old, and roughly 75 pounds. He does not get along with cats, but may do well with smaller dogs. Rush is a gorgeous black brindle greyhound, who came to the shelter from West Virginia. Shelter volunteers say he is a “very happy boy!” He loves to chase, but settles down easily. He doesn’t mind being crated, and is house broken. Volunteers say he is very sweet, calm, laid back, and nothing seems to bother him. He also has a good personality for older children.
Nittany Greyhounds has several other greyhounds up for adoption at the kennel. Check them out, and help them find a home for the holidays!
