Penn State Altoona is hosting Brain Awareness Week March 23 – 29, 2014. This is linked with an annual international celebration held the second week in March. The theme for 2014 is “Get Connected.” On today's show, Cairsty DePasquale joins us from Penn State Altoona to talk about the event and share some insight into the wonders of the brain.
The idea behind the event is to increase public awareness of the progress and benefits of brain research. It's also a celebration of the brain and it's amazing abilities.
Brain Awareness week features speakers, seminars, demonstrations, and lab tours. The event is free and open to the public.
