What happens when a playful whale gets stuck on a piece of ice in the Arctic Ocean? Find out in the Parent and Child Class “A Whale of a Tale” offered through the Learning Lamp in Johnstown.

The Learning Lamp’s Parent and Child classes serve as an introduction to preschool, and help parents learn how to be involved with their child’s education. Classes are designed for children ages 2, 3, and 4. Parents or caregivers must attend with their children.

This month’s theme is “A Whale of a Tale.” You’ll read the book Whale Gets Stuck by Karen Hayles. Then you’ll get the chance to use ice cubes as paintbrushes, see what things sink or float, and turn a paper plate into a blue whale display!

“A Whale of a Tale” will be held Fridays March 14 – March 28 from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm at the Greater Johnstown Career and Technology Center in Room F204. Cost for the three session class is just $33!
